 Hello, my name is Christopher Currins. I have been involved in renovating, restoring, and remodeling homes for over 25 years. I have worked on many homes that were on their last breath, houses that may have looked nice from the outside when they were purchased, only to cause the new owner many financial problems and headaches. This is why I became a Home Inspector. It is relatively new to the real estate industry but is continuing to grow at a very rapid pace. Normally people hire an inspector from a recommendation from their real estate agent because either they've never heard of a home inspector or do not know one personally. We are a great value to the agent in protecting them from any undisclosed items concerning the home, but of considerably more unprecedented value to the home buyer. I take great pride in my profession in protecting home buyers, sellers, and present owners from investing or owning a property with unknown defects that can lead to extensive damage or serious safety related problems that are not always visible to an untrained eye. When you hire me you can be confident you made the right choice. When I am working for you I will be inspecting your property as if I were purchasing it myself. I am very well educated and experienced as a Home Inspector with ongoing continuing education to keep informed of all of the constant changes and discoveries in the home construction industry. Loyalty Issue

 I believe impartiality is a key to avoiding complaints. Home inspectors are often asked to whom we are loyal to during our inspection. Some say we are loyal to the client who pays our fee. This is my main belief.  Others say our loyalty is to the agent who brought us together with the client. Still others say that we are loyal to the seller whose home we are in. In my opinion, I also believe our loyalty is to the home. We should represent its condition as accurately as possible for anyone who reads our report.

 Unlike most professionals, you may not have the opportunity to meet me until after you hire me. With this in mind I need to gain your trust before we meet and do everything I can to keep it after the day is over in hope of you referring me to someone new.

 Different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing. I have years of hands on experience and continue to increase my knowledge and keep in tune with new designing techniques and codes. A good home inspection takes time and a good eye to find things others don't. Ultimately a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector's own effort.
